We are participating in a new international project to revitalise and develop the Carpathian Civil Platform. The kick-off meeting of the "From Alps to Carpathians" project took place at the end of May 2023 in Rzeszów, Poland, organised by the lead partner - Rzeszów County. At the event, we met our partners and discussed the elements of the project, its work plan and timeframe. During the second day, we had the opportunity to learn about the resources of the Carpathian Euroregion and the cooperation structures already in place . We heard presentations on the Carpathian Sustainable Tourism Platform and the Cross-border Functional Areas which are also being renewed in the framework of the project. In Polańczyk, we learned about good examples of sustainable tourism development, where a tourism development project around an artificial lake with a harbour, water sports facilities, a cable car, forest paths, etc. was implemented. In the Carmelite Monastery in Zagórz, we also visited a multifunctional space where a conference room and exhibition space have been built.

The project is implemented with the support of the Interreg Central Europe Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The Hungarian partner's participation in the project is co-financed by the Hungarian State.
