The Carpathian Civil Society Platform and Interregional Network of Civil Innovations is a territory-based organization linked to the geographically, historically, culturally, and sociologically connected area of the Carpathians, which forms the basis for joint cooperation.
Its mission is to strengthen and support civil society in the Carpathian region by providing a separate virtual space for civil society organizations. Through this innovative platform, we aim to promote cooperation, share valuable resources, and provide timely information on funding opportunities.
On February 26, 2026, at the Inter-regional Meeting of the Carpathian Civil Society Platform, we dedicated a separate block to allow participants to evaluate the functioning of the Platform in a cross-border workshop. In a "World Café" setting, participants articulated their motivations, resources, expectations, and concerns regarding the functioning of the Carpathian Civil Platform.
Based on their suggestions, the main goals are to identify real needs, develop new partnerships, share learning and best practices, and increase social impact. The organizations contribute to the cooperation with their expertise, project management experience, crisis management knowledge, human resources, and networks. They expect the platform, especially with the involvement of the Carpathian Foundation, to provide long-term support, promote European partnerships, provide a space for inspiration and knowledge sharing, and ensure operational stability. Key topics include mental health, youth and education, social inclusion, social innovation, and cross-border cooperation. At the same time, concerns were raised about lack of time, processing emotionally stressful experiences, and depletion of resources.
