Our Foundation's staff member Beáta Csomós participated in the International Step by Step Association (ISSA) international NGO conference #ISSAConnects for Learning 2023, which brought together ISSA members from Europe, Central Asia and beyond in Opatija, Croatia. The Carpathians Foundation became a member of ISSA in 2023, as the key to our professional development in the field of early skills care is to gain new knowledge and partners.
At the meeting, which took place from 26-28 September 2023, professionals discussed how high-quality services in the field of early years education support children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Valuable presentations were given on PlayHubs in several countries and on the functioning of REYN (Romani Early Years Network). Professional workshops were organised for participants, for example on supporting local authorities in providing early childhood services. Participating NGOs and other organisations had the opportunity to present themselves in a so-called marketplace.
Over three days, new ideas, contacts and collaborations were made. Thank you for the opportunity!
