Invitation - International Conference on Carpathian Civil Society Platform

The Carpathian Foundation-Hungary cordially invites all interested parties to its international conference organized in Eger, 13-14 June, 2019 in the frame of the Carpathian Civil Society Platform project. 

Training about early intervention

A two day long training was organized by the Foundation on 26-27 March 2019, Noszvaj for the representatives of grantees of our program "Building Capacities for Effective Early Childhood Development of Marginalized Roma in Hungary". The training was led by Eva Szomor, ECD expert, and the main topics were how to organize programs for the smallest ones (0-3 years old children), how to cooperate with parents and how to develop parental cognitions and competencies effectively in marginalized Roma communities. 

We hope participants found the training useful.

Financial support to NGOs to increase visibility

The Carpathian Foundation supports capacity building of civil society organizations with small grants. The aim of the grant scheme is to enhance visibility and more effective communication of nonprofit, civil society organizations operating in the Northeast part of Hungary.

Only those organizations could file their application, who participated at the communication training organized by the Foundation on 23rd February 2019 in Eger. From the 10 applications submitted for financial support, the Foundation awarded the following 8 organizations.

Mid-term Evaluation Meeting

Mid-term evaluation meeting. The management team of the Carpathian Civil Society Platform project from Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine gathered in Ustrzyki Górne, Poland on 4-5 Februrary 2019 to evaluate the implemented activities and processes. The experts and coordinators shared recent experiences from the local workshops held in January, worked on the finalization of the platform strategy and discussed the upcoming activities, such as the capacity trainings, mini-grant scheme and the international conference to be held in June 2019.

In our program Carpathian civil society platform we work to establish a civil cooperation network in the North-East Hungary region as well as an inter-regional, cross-border platform in cooperation with civil organizations from Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
