Nearly HUF 2 millions grant to disadvantaged children

On March 27, 2020, the Foundation's Board of Trustees awarded another grant of HUF 2 millions to finance 13 NGOs engaged in early childhood development work with disadvantaged children.

In 2018, the Carpathian Foundation launched its ‘Building Local Capacities for ECD of marginalized Roma children’ programme, in the framework of which it provides non-refundable grants in the amount of nearly HUF 40 million per year to 12-13 non-governmental organizations operating in disadvantaged rural areas.

Granted organisations carry out project in the North – East region of Hungary, during which they provide programs and classes related to early childhood development for disadvantaged children and their families living in deep poverty. During the program, 300-400 marginalized children’s support and development were implemented.

This grant is a so-called additional grant of the already running projects, which can be used by the beneficiary organizations for the development and support of the affected children and families.

The detailed list of grant results is attached.
