As part of our project "Hopeful Horizons: Year-long Support and Solidarity for Refugees in Hungary", we are providing comprehensive support to individuals and families who fled from Ukraine due to the war, in Northeastern Hungary in 2024, with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Our team operates in Heves County, as well as in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Hajdú-Bihar counties. In these latter two counties, we support the social integration of refugees through our professional partners. We selected our two partners through a tender process, and the Carpathian Foundation's board of trustees approved their projects on March 4, 2024. The supported projects primarily facilitate the integration of Roma refugees through two civil organizations. The decision list for 2024 can be downloaded below.
