Excursions in October

October was the month of excursions in the „Know your rights” project. On 20th October, a one-day trip was organized to Budapest by the Pearl of Tarna Association for the community of Szajla. The team visited the Tropicarium in the Campona, later the Hungarian Parliament hosted by Mr.László Horváth, Member of the Parliament. Besides, the group visited the main sights of the capital.

Workshops in October

„The significance and importance of kindergarten in the life of small children” was the title of the workshops organized in October 2021 in Bükkszentmárton, Szomolya and Szajla. Andrea Bocsi, the head of Garden City Kindergartens of Eger was the presenter who talked about the importance of kindergarten education, early childhood education, what the kindergarten prepares for, what are the obligations and rights of parents and institutions in this regard.

SOCIAL INNOVATION AWARD 2021 - Call for applications

Carpathian Civil Society Platform is driven by the common vision to strengthen a vibrant, pluralistic, and rights-based civil society in the territory of the Carpathian Euroregion. The Platform supports collaboration among those civil society organizations who work for the most marginalized and vulnerable communities in the Carpathian Euroregion. It is aimed to strengthen the influence and weight of civil society by capacity development with creating networks for local and interregional networks, exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices of social innovation.

September events of the Know your rights project

In the middle of September public forums were organized in Szajla and Szomolya.The topic of the events were police measures, offences like bobbery, identity check, driving without a driving licence, speeding and other actual questions were discussed with the local policeman. The community of Szomolya visited Budapest and viewed the sights of the capital and also  took part in a boat trip.

We are hiring a Program Coordinator in Eger

The Carpathian Foundation-Hungary based in Eger, Hungary is seeking for a competent Program Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. Program Coordinator will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.

Another food package for those in need

Another 70 packages were distributed from the prize of Tesco Hungary's competition entitled "You choose, we help", which was won by the Food Rescue Network in the spring! The packages consisted of durable food and detergents that we were able to use to support disadvantaged families and retirees. Thanks again to Tesco and the Food Rescue Network!

 

Workshops on “Unemployed or space-hunter”

In the framework of the „Know your rights!” project, the second workshops were organized in August 2021 by our local partners in Szajla, Bükkszentmárton and Szomolya. The topic of the events were labour market and benefits, matters which should be arranged in the so called Labour Office . That is why the program got “Unemployed or job-hunter” title, which was presented by Georgina Vitai, consultant from the local Labour Office of Heves County Government Office.

Professional meeting

On August 25-26, in the framework of a two-day professional meeting in Eger, we met with our partners, those non-governmental organizations we have been working with for almost 4 years now in our Early Years Matter program.
