Carpathian Civil Society Platform Inter-regional conference

;

A Carpathian Foundation and its partners cordially invite all interested parties to their professional conference titled “Carpathian Civil Society Platform Inter-regional conference” which will take place between 28th February and 1st March in Hotel Szent István, Eger, Hungary.

During the conference, representatives of leading civil organizations in the region, as well as representatives of domestic and international organizations, come together to discuss the societal impact and cross-border collaborations of civil initiatives. The goal of the event is also to strengthen the collaborative platform spanning five countries (Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine).

The Carpathian Foundation initiated the Carpathian Civil Society Platform in 2018, aiming to establish a cross-border civil cooperation network, support rural civil organizations addressing marginalized groups, and enhance their efficiency. The conference features discussions on civic engagement, cross-border collaborations, and responses to current challenges. Highlights include the opening by Her Excellency - Trine Skymoen (Ambassador of Norway), a presentation from Sándor Köles (Chair of the board of directors – Carpathian Foundation – Hungary) on the Civil Platform's goals and showcasing initiatives and receiving the Civil Innovation Award. The second day focuses on the Platform's future and sustainability, concluding with an action plan for supporting future cross-border collaborations.
