Financial and administrative assistant

We need a dedicated colleague who is willing to use his/her economic knowledge to help us in financial and administrative tasks. Anyone who has worked in a similar field will know that the world of projects, donations, and grants is a very demanding one, it requires accuracy. So only those who can cope with it are welcome to apply. You are rule-following, can cope with monotonous workflows and are not afraid of administration. You are familiar with Excel and have worked with invoices (primarily project related).


  • providing administrative assistance for the Executive Director,
  • coordinating the financial and administrative documentation tasks related to projects, programs,
  • coordination of activity reports, supporting documents, preparing certificates of completion,
  • archiving time sheets, supporting staff in time management,
  • administering project meetings, preparing activity and financial reports, summaries, 
  • preparing statements, recording resources, participating in controlling and monitoring,
  • participating in the administration of granted and operational projects,
  • liaison with donors, grantors, contracted human resources, partners.


•             college/university degree (BA/MA) in business administration, economy/financial administration or relevant field,

•             at least of 3 years relevant previous working experience in the field, stable knowledge on financial reporting and accounting rules of Hungary, knowledge of (project) budgeting and reporting

•             excellent communication skills in English,

•             commitment to and working experience in the civil sector,

•             reliability, diligence, integrity,

•             ability to work under pressure, flexibility, accuracy, precision,

•             ability to work in a team and independently,

•             ability to travel (primarily in Hungary),

•             Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office,

•             Proven experience as financial and administrative assistant is an advantage.


Details of the position: Full time employee 40 hours/week, Location:  Eger, Hungary (but partly flexible, partly remote work, frequent travel), Salary by agreement depending on experience.
